The OHXC Lady Eagles placed 3 runners in the Top 10 and 6 athletes overall on the Top 20 All Central Indiana Conference Podium to win their 10th Conference Championship the last 12 years. The Lady Eagles managed to score 40 points to win the title outpacing Runner Up Eastbrook who had 56 points and 3rd Place Frankton just behind with 58. Senior Audrey Woodard led the way taking Conference Runner Up Honors. An impressive run for Woodard who was sick most of the week. By finishing in the Top 10 Woodard also earned 1st Team All Conference Honors for the 3rd time in her career. She became just the 15th Lady Eagle girl athlete to earn 1st Team Honors 3+ times in their career. Joining Woodard on the 1st Team were Sophomore Quinn Brunner and Senior Abby Sneed who finished 5th and 9th respectively. Brunner like Woodard had been sick throughout the week and was not sure to even race Saturday. Both Brunner and Sneed managed to cut over 2 minutes off their times at last year's Conference Championship Meet. Sneed in fact set a new lifetime best in doing so. The duo also both improved their overall placement considerably from a year ago as Brunner moved up from 26th and Sneed from 23rd. It was the 1st - 1st Team Honor for both athletes. The Lady Eagles were not done there garnering All Conference accolades as 3 additional athletes claimed Top 20 Podium spots to earn Honorable Mention Honors. Freshman Rossi Skinner was 12th breaking 23 minutes for the 1st time in her short career. Classmate Lilly Hunt was 15th and Sophomore Lilly Snyder 20th. This was the 1st All Conference Honor for all 3 of these Lady Eagles. Junior Kaitlyn Scalf also had a strong day setting a new lifetime best but just missing All Conference Honors finishing 21st. The Lady Eagles are off until the start of the IHSAA Tourney Series on Saturday October 19th. The Lady Eagles will compete in the Marion Sectional held at Indiana Wesleyan University.
