The OHXC Golden Eagles placed 4 runners in the Top 6 and 9 athletes overall on the Top 20 All Central Indiana Conference Podium to win their 9th straight Conference Championship. In all it was the Golden Eagles 20th Conference Championship the last 23 years. The Golden Eagles managed to score a low 26 points to win the title outpacing Runner Up Madison Grant with 62 and 3rd place Eastbrook 73. With their Conference Championship streak reaching 9, the OHXC Golden Eagles became the 1st program in Oak Hill history to have multiple Conference Title streaks of 9 or more. Both Wrestling and Track have also previously had Conference Title streaks of at least 9 at a given time. The other 9peat for OHXC came in the span from 2002-2010. Junior Corban Tippey led the way finishing as the Individual Conference Champion. In doing so Tippey became just the 7th Golden Eagle boy athlete to win the CIC which also marked the 5th straight year a Golden Eagle athlete has won the Individual Title. Including the Lady Eagles it marked the 13th straight year an OHXC athlete won individual honors. By finishing in the Top 10 Tippey also earned 1st Team All Conference Honors for the 3rd time in his career. He became just the 11th Golden Eagle boy athlete to earn 1st Team Honors 3+ times in their career. Joining Tippey on the 1st Team were Sophomores Wyatt Hart and Kyle Brower who went 3rd and 4th while Junior Brayden Sommers racing for the 1st team in over a month was 6th. It was the 2nd 1st Team Honor for Brower and the 1st for both Hart and Sommers, both of which were Honorable Mention All Conference in 2023. The Golden Eagles were not done there garnering All Conference accolades as 5 additional athletes claimed Top 20 Podium spots to earn Honorable Mention Honors. Freshman Josh Clark was a strong 12th, Junior Eli Leak 14th, Senior Owen Roth 17th, Freshman Bret Hueston 18th, and Freshman Gavin Key 20th. The 9 All Conference performances were the 2nd most ever in Program History 2nd only to last year's 10. This was the 1st All Conference Honor for all 5 of these Golden Eagles. The Golden Eagles are off until the start of the IHSAA Tourney Series on Saturday October 19th. The Golden Eagles will compete in the Marion Sectional held at Indiana Wesleyan University.
