JHXC Splits Dual Meet With Marion - Bishop & Ybarra Go 1-2

The JHXC Lady Eagles and Golden Eagles competed in a dual meet Tuesday night at Justice against Marion. The young squads split the event with the Lady Eagles winning 22-33 and the Golden Eagles falling 23-32. The Lady Eagles were led by 7th grader Verity Bishop and 8th grader Isabella Ybarra who went 1-2 up front. Bishop's classmate Lucy Devers was 5th while 8th grader Sydnee Roy finished in 6th. The Top 5 for the Lady Eagles was rounded out by 6th grader Reese Skinner coming in 8th. The Golden Eagles were without top runner Brantley Blair and were led by 7th grader Keaton Vetor in 3rd. Vetor's classmate Colson Woodard was close behind in 4th. Ethan Cain-8th grade, Zeke Siler-7th grade, and Mason Brown-7th grade were all Top 10 finishing 6th, 9th, and 10th respectively. Both groups concluded their 2024 season Saturday October 5th competing in the Central Indiana Conference Championship Meet held at Indiana Wesleyan University.
