Oak Hill High School

The OHXC Lady Eagles hosted the annual Oak Hill Invitational Saturday and for the 1st time all season got to compete in good weather and on a fast course, as a result times dropped and the ladies competed well. In a very strong 11 team field compromised of some of the top small school and medium sized schools in the area the Lady Eagles totaled 98 points to take 4th behind State Raked Heritage Christian who won with a low 38 points, Fairfield as Runner Up with 62, and Bluffton 3rd with 73. The Lady Eagles were led by Senior Quinn Brunner who earned a Top 15 Podium Medal finishing 10th overall. Brunner's time of 20:02 moved her up the Program All Time rankings to just outside the Top 10. Her time was the 4th best ever by a Lady Eagle on the home course and a Top 10 All Time Senior mark. Brunner was joined on the medal Podium by Junior Lilly Hunt who was 15th. Hunt and Brunner have found their way onto the podium in each of the Lady Eagle's 1st 3 events. Just missing the medal podium was Junior Rossi Skinner who was 16th. Hunt and Skinner both set new personal bests and climbed into the Top 20 All Time on the Program rankings. Both posted sub 21 minute times that rank as Top 10 Junior times in program history. Sophomore Shelby Hollingsworth was a strong 27th while Freshman Verity Bishop was 30th to round out the Top 5 scorers. Senior Lilly Snyder and Sophomore Elayna Cates concluded the Top 7 varsity spots in 32nd and 36th. The Lady Eagles travel South next Saturday September 5th to compete in the always fast Rick Weinheimer Columbus North Classic.
