OHTF Lady Eagles Capture All 15 Events at Frankton in 107-16 Dual Win - Brunner, Dailey, & Travis All Win 3 Events. Hale, Newhouse, Nuber, & Pond are Multi Event Winners.

The OHTF Lady Eagles put forth a dominant performance Wednesday night at Frankton managing to win all 15 events including a 1-2-3 event sweep in 5 events and a 1-2 finish in 7 to beat the host Lady Eagles 107-16. Lady Eagle were led by 7 multi event winning athletes as Senior Biruk Travis, Junior Quinn Brunner, and Sophomore Bri Dailey were all 3 event winners on the night. While Senior Lexi Nuber and Juniors Erika Newhouse along with Kora Pond and Annie Hale each won 2 events. Travis and Brunner paired up on the 4x800 Meter Relay along with Sophomore Lilly Hunt and Freshman Cali Myers. Travis individually won the 800 Meter Run with Myers following close behind in 2nd and was part of the winning 4x400 Meter Relay along with Pond, Dailey, and Newhouse. Brunner swept the Long distance events taking individual wins in the 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run. Brunner led a 1-2-3-4 finish in the 1600 followed by Hunt and Sophomore Rossi Skinner in 2-3 with Senior Kaitlyn Scalf in 4th. Scalf added a strong 3rd in the 3200 as well behind Brunner. Dailey grabbed individual wins in the High Jump and 400 Meter Dash. Dailey had possibly the best performance of the night setting a new personal best in the High Jump winning in 5 feet 3 inches. The height ranks 6th All Time in Program History. Dailey led a 1-2-3 sweep in both the events she won with Freshman Eva Tripp taking 2nd and Senior Sophia Rowland taking 3rd in the High Jump while in the 400 Dailey was followed by Sophomore Emi Babinski in 2nd and Freshman Shelby Hollingsworth in 3rd. Pond added her 2nd win in the open 200 Meter Dash while Newhouse won the Long Jump as part of a 1-2 finish along with Senior Ava Keith. Senior Lexi Nuber was back competing Wednesday after missing indoor season to win both hurdle races claiming the 100 Meter Hurdles and 300 Meter Hurdles. Newhouse took 2nd in the 300's to add to her strong night. The ladies also stockpiled points by sweeping 1-2-3 in both throwing events. Sophomore Brooklyn Young set a new personal best over 30 feet to win the Shot Put with Seniors Sarah Beth Tripp and Madelyn Cheek going 2-3. Tripp would win the Discus with Young taking 2nd and once again Cheek in 3rd. Freshman Harper Wiley was actually part of a 1-2-3-4 in the Disc. Junior Annie Hale grabbed an individual 1st in the 100 Meter Dash and joined with Keith, classmate Lilly Edwards, and Senior Audrey Rex to win the 4x100 Meter Relay. Two Lady Eagle JV Relays took runner up honors ahead of Frankton's varsity in the 4x100 and 4x400. The team of Sophomores Gabby Nero, Riley Archer, Haylie Turnpaugh, and Freshman Brylie Speicher were 2nd in in the 4x1. In the 4x4 the Lady Eagles swept the top 3 spots with Rex, Myers, Babinski, and Hollingsworth taking 2nd while Rowland Eva Tripp and Senior Addy Carey and Freshman June Burtner took 3rd. The Lady Eagles compete next Tuesday at Elwood against the Lady Panthers and Eastbrook then host the annual Co-Ed Oak Hill Relays Saturday April 25th.
