The OHTF Lady Eagles started off the 2026 outdoor season with a very strong 101-31 win over host Maconquah on Thursday night winning 13 of 16 events. The Lady Eagles were led by 7 multi event winners. Seniors Ava Keith and Biruk Travis along with Junior Kora Pond were all 3 Event Winners. Keith individually won both the Pole Vault and Long Jump while also leading off the winning 4x100 Meter Relay. Keith was joined on the relay by classmates Audrey Rex and Annie Hale along with Sophomore Taylor Campbell. Keith set a new personal best in the Pole Vault clearing 8-6 which is a Top 5 Program All Time Mark. Travis individually was the winner in the 1600 Meter Run and 800 Meter Run as well as anchoring the winning 4x800 Meter Relay. Joining Travis on the relay were Juniors Pond and Quinn Brunner along with Freshman Cali Myers. The Lady Eagle foursome fresh off a new Indoor Program Record at the Indoor State Meet won by early 30 seconds. Travis posted a fast 2:32 in the 800 just 1 second off her personal best. Pond added an individual win in the 400 Meter Dash just 1 second ahead of Sophomore Bri Dailey in 2nd while the pair combined with Rex and Junior Lilly Edwards to win the 4x400 Meter Relay in a quick 4:26. Dailey's 2nd win came individually in the High Jump as the Indoor State Qualifier in the event cleared 4-10. Brunner added her 2nd win in the 3200 Meter Run in a new outdoor personal best for the Indoor State Qualifier in the event. Her time of 12:20 is a Top 10 Program All Time mark outdoors. Hale took 1st in the 100 Meter Dash in a new personal best modified time of 12.9. Her time matches recent graduate Cail Bowlin for 5th All Time in Program History in the event. The Lady Eagles got 2 surprise wins on the night from a pair of Freshman Throwers as Malayah Gray and Harper Wiley stepped up to win the Shot Put and Disc. Some additional runner up and or strong performances on the night were Junior Erika Newhouse taking a pair of 2nds in the Long Jump and 300 Meter Hurdles. Hale added a new personal best and 2nd place finish in the 200 Meter Dash moving her into 6th All Time. Senior Sophia Rowland was 2nd in the High Jump to Dailey. Sophomore Lilly Hunt took 2nd to Travis in the 800 Meter Dash. Sophomore Callie Nuber was 2nd in the Pole Vault behind Keith matching her personal best. In the throws the Lady Eagles took 2nd in the Shot Put from Sophomore Aubree Barcomb and 2nd in the Disc from classmate Brooklyn Young. Young and Barcomb joined Wiley for a 1-2-3 finish in the event and Gray for a 1-2-3 finish in the Shot Put. Sophomore Rossi Skinner and Freshman Izzy Ybarra helped take a 1-2-3 finish in the 2 mile behind Brunner. The Lady Eagles compete next Wednesday April 15th at Frankton.
