The Oak Hill Golden Eagles soared to a hard-earned 41–33 victory over the Lewis Cass Kings on Wednesday night in Mier. The first quarter was pure offense. Graham Arrendale caught fire early, burying three triples, while Corey Templin added one of his own. Matthew Lawson dominated the glass for two buckets inside as the teams traded blows and leads. When the dust settled, Oak Hill clung to a 16–12 edge. Lewis Cass flipped the script in the second, draining four threes while the Golden Eagles cooled off. Tanner Martin provided Oak Hill’s lone triple, and Tytan Ott attacked the rim for two layups, but the Kings’ 2-3 zone created just enough havoc to take a 26–25 halftime lead. The third quarter belonged to the Golden Eagles. Their full-court pressure ignited chaos, forcing turnover after turnover. Arrendale poured in six more, Martin added a bucket, and Lawson muscled home four as Oak Hill flipped the game, holding Lewis Cass to just six points and seizing a 37–32 advantage. In the fourth, the Kings returned to their zone, but the Golden Eagles were ready. Templin splashed another three, and the defense slammed the door — zero Lewis Cass field goals were allowed. Arrendale iced it at the line, giving Oak Hill the victory. Out-sized but never out-worked, Oak Hill used suffocating pressure and timely shooting to improve to 3-1. Arrendale led all scorers with 16 points, while Lawson and Templin added 8 apiece, Martin 5, and Ott 4. Next up: a huge conference showdown Friday night at 5 p.m. when rival Mississinewa visits The Eagles Nest.
