The Oak Hill Golden Eagles delivered an exciting and dominant performance on the road Monday night, defeating the Eastern Comets 59–21 at Eastern High School in Greentown. From the opening tip, the Golden Eagles set the tone with aggressive defense and confident shooting, establishing momentum that never wavered. Oak Hill opened the game blazing, sparked by Corey Templin and Matthew Lawson, who combined for nine early points. Graham Arrendale added a smooth three-pointer as the Golden Eagles raced to a 14–3 lead after the first quarter. The energy carried into the second, where Oak Hill continued firing from deep. Tytan Ott, Templin, and Tanner Martin each knocked down a three, while Christian Pavey went a perfect 4-for-4 from the free-throw line to help push the halftime margin to 27–10. After the break, the Golden Eagles erupted again. Ott and Arrendale attacked the rim consistently, earning trips to the foul line and converting five of six total free throws. Lawson added four more points inside, and Pavey chipped in two to stretch the lead to 42–19 entering the final quarter. In the fourth, Eastern abandoned its 2-3 zone, but Oak Hill responded with its highest-scoring frame of the night. Arrendale caught fire from beyond the arc, drilling two triples for six points. Ott continued his downhill pressure, adding five, while Lawson and Pavey each contributed two as Oak Hill closed out the 59–21 victory. The Golden Eagles’ balanced attack was on full display with four players reaching double figures and the team knocking down seven threes while shooting an impressive 12-of-15 (80%) from the line. Defensively, Oak Hill’s disruptive 2-2-1 press consistently frustrated the Comets and fueled the offensive surge. Oak Hill returns to action Wednesday at home against Lewis Cass, with tipoff set for 6 p.m.
