Our track and field athletes showed up yesterday at the Freeland Invitational! This early-season state qualifying meet brought some of the best competition in the region and our track team rose to the challenge. Claire Long continues her dominance on the track! The defending Division 4 400m State Champion officially punched her ticket back to the State Finals in two events. She saw a 1st place finish in the 400m with a time of 57.32s and new school record. She also enjoyed a 2nd place finish in the 200 overall (1st among small schools) and another state qualifying time! Abram Fettig place 1st place overall (Small School Division) in the 3200m! Jason Jimenez double medaled in the sprints! He took 5th in the 400m and 4th in the 200m. Mario Bables crushed it in the throwing ring, taking 6th in the shot put with a huge new PR of 34'6.74"! We are incredibly proud of the hard work these athletes are putting in early this season. The road to the State Finals is officially underway.
