The Northwest Cross Country teams competed in MHSAA Region 14 at DeWitt High School. The boy's team finished 9th and the girl's team finished 12th out of 15 competing schools in each race. The boy's team was led by Silas Shepherd with a season best time of 17:29.1 finishing in 36th place. Adam Whitney, Chase Lawrence, Jaxen Meso, Mattox Keathley and Gibson Goodrich all had personal best times. Kolbe Uphaus rounded out the scoring for Northwest with an 81st place. In the girl's race Olivia Khon placed 34th and led the team with a time of 21:15.9, which was a personal record. Hannah Lowe also had a personal record. Eleanor Shirkey ran a course record for her. Natalia Hernandez ran through an injury and finished 67th. Kenzi Reader finished out the scoring for the girl's team in 82nd place. The teams will finish their season on Monday at Sharp Park in the annual Chris Jensen - Jackson County meet.
