The Northwest tennis team defeated Marshall this past Friday, 6-2. It was their 2nd win in the conference. The team is 9-0-1 overall. In the singles matches, Nathan Cumings won at 1-singles for his third win in a row, and Reed Clark (2-singles) rallied from behind again to win in 3 sets, and was a key match in the victory. Bode Rush won his 2nd match in a row with a strong performance at 3- singles. At 4-singles, Levi Youngman dominated his match to win his 4th match in a row. In doubles play, every match was close, and with Northwest’s 1 & 4 doubles losing, the match came down to 2 & 3 doubles. Jaedan Lincoln and Macalister Perrine (2-doubles) and Jack Runkel and Vincent McPherson (3 doubles) both battled to win close matches and sealed the victory for Northwest. The Mounties will now prepare to play at home on Monday against conference rival Western.
