The Northwest boys soccer team took on Jackson High School on Saturday afternoon with the contest ending in a 3-3 draw. Despite holding a majority of possession in the first half, the Mounties went into the break trailing 0-2. Another Viking goal in the opening minutes of the second half put the Mounties down 0-3. Sparking the Mounties comeback was senior Chase Lawrence, scoring the first goal of his high school career with a peach from 25 yards out with just under 20 minutes to go. Cashies Sheldon cut the deficit to one with his first varsity goal after he beat his defender to the end line before finding the net across the face of goal. With just over three minutes to go, senior Thomas Elkins turned in his second goal in as many games to level the score 3-3 off a corner played by fellow senior Silas Shepherd. The Mounties travel to Coldwater for their next contest on Tuesday, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
