The Northwest boys bounced back in a big way on Thursday night taking down Hastings 4-1 on the road. Despite a hard fought first half, the boys found themselves trailing 0-1 at the break. The start of the second half turnaround came off a corner goal turned in by Thomas Elkins, the first of his high school career. After bouncing off three defenders Cashies Sheldon set up Chase Wyers in the middle of the box for the Mounties second and game winning goal. Wyers continued to impact the game offensively, setting up Silas Shephard for the Mounties third goal. Hunter Cote capped off the scoring with the first varsity goal of his career off a slick through ball from Landon Magsig. The Mounties return to action on Saturday, hosting Jackson High School for an 11:30 a.m. kickoff.
