Mounties Post 311 Finishing 4 Strokes Back @ East Jackson The Northwest Boys’ Golf Team competed in the East Jackson Invitational on Wednesday at Calderone Golf Club finishing 3rd with a 311 just 4 strokes behind the tournament champions, Lumen Christi and 1 behind 2nd Place Marshall. The Mounties were led by the 3rd place golfer individually in Jake Brafford who fired a 1 under par round of 71. Cody Rowe finished in 5th place posted a 77. Fellow seniors Jarrett Osterberg and Javen Palmer rounded out the team score for the Mounties carding 81 and 82 respectively. For Palmer it was his second straight 18-hole person best round. “The course played very tough today in the wind which caused havoc with their shots and it also kept the windchill down near 39 degrees for most of the day,” said Coach Cantlin. “It was a brutal day for golf temperature wise so Jake’s 71 and Javen’s 82 was very impressive.” The Mounties play Friday at The Medalist Golf Club in the Matthew Krustch Memorial Invitational at 9am hosted by Hillsdale Academy.
