North Posey High School Athletics

The North Posey Boys Soccer Team won a thrilling opening round sectional match against Boonville and will move on to Thursdays Sectional Semi-Final vs. Evansville Mater Dei. The boys battled to a tough 0-0 tie at the half before Ethan Ashby got the Vikings on the scoreboard with a penalty kick. After Boonville scored to tie the match at 1-1, Senior Brayden Compton came through with an incredible goal to put the Vikings ahead 2-1. The defense battled the last 12 minutes to keep the Pioneers off the board to secure the 2-1 victory. Great effort by the Vikings!
