Great Week to be a Viking: North Posey Athletic Recap for the Week of 8/24

The North Posey Vikings had a great week in athletics. The Boys Tennis team went 5-0 this week with wins over Evansville Bosse, Evansville Harrison, Princeton, Washington, and Tell City. The boys improved their conference record to 4-0. The Boys Soccer went 2-1 with conference wins over South Spencer and Tell City. The Girls Soccer team got their first conference win of the season with a road victory over Tell City 6-4. The Lady Viking Volleyball team went 2-0 this week with wins over Evansville Harrison and Evansville Christian. The North Posey JV Football team got a big win by beating Southridge 30-6. The Lady Viking golf team finished 3rd place this weekend at the Forest Park Invite. Emily Schmitt was the top golfer for the Vikings, shooting a 92 over 18 holes. The North Posey Cross Country team had a great showing this weekend at Crawford County which will be the host site of this years regional competition. 13 Runners set PRs. Rowan Englebright finished 10th overall with Lyla Hautman coming in at 38th. This event featured 230 runners with over 40 schools represented. The North Posey Football Team got a big conference win, beating Tecumseh 48-14 at home on Friday Night. Senior QB Carter Schickel threw for 371 yards and 4 TDs on a night where he became North Posey's all time leader in passing yards and TD passes.
