New Castle Middle School Athletics

The NCMS Boys' Tennis team's fell to Shenandoah 0-5, with promising match play. A thriller at #1 doubles with eighth-grader Dakota Huntley and seventh-grader Gavin Brown went to a third set tie breaker, with Shenandoah ultimately winning the match 2-4, 4-1, (10-8). Seventh-grader Daniel Li also made his opponent earn it, narrowly being defeated 5-7. Seventh-grader Ethan Goforth defeated his opponent in extended match play, as did the doubles team of seventh-grader Nolan Riggs and sixth-grader Alex Atten. The Trojan Netters are at home against Greenfield-Central on Monday, August 25th at 5:30pm at Luddy Tennis Center next to the football fields and the Indiana Basketball Hall of Fame.
