New Castle Middle School Trojans 7th Grade were triumphant over Pendleton Heights Middle School 7th Grade Baseball 7-4 on Tuesday at Denny Bolden Field. New Castle Middle School Trojans 7th Grade got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Hudson White singled down the left field line, Blake Walters singled to center field, and PHMS 7th Grade Baseball committed an error, each scoring one run. New Castle jumped into the lead in the bottom of the third when Silvers walked, Kobe Lee singled, and James Griffith walked, then Mason Jeffries singled, scoring two runs, Gavin Hurt drew a walk, scoring one run, and Liam Carson induced White to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Carter Silvers earned the win for New Castle. The hurler gave up three hits and four runs over three innings, striking out three and walking three. Cooper Penrose collected the save. Jeffries went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead New Castle Middle School Trojans 7th Grade in hits. White and Jeffries each drove in two runs for New Castle. White stole two bases.
