Varsity vs Oscara A. Carlson High School (5 - 1) Win Huron traveled to Gibraltar Carlson for their first game of the 2026 season. With almost an entirely new team led by senior captains Matthew Hussey, Marton Krajcz, Maverik Bazzy, and Marcos Reyna, the mighty Chiefs went to work. Carlson scored early on and led 1-0 until the Chiefs scored five straight. Gonzalo Aragon, a sophomore newcomer, scored the first goal on assist from Maverik Bazzy. Moments later, Marco Reyna outworked everyone and collected a pass from sophomore Parker Krause, and lit up the goal to make the score 2 to 1. Huron kept that lead going into the 2nd half but was able to rest all of their captains during the first half and was preparing for a strong push in the second half. Gonzalo scored again just before Bazzy lit it up for goal number four from Hussey. Gonzalo played a back post ball to sophomore Nathan Seisdedos-Henninger for the 5th of the game and Seisdedos-Henninger’s first varsity goal. Todd Elliott has taken over in the goal for graduate, Ian Ankenbauer, and did an amazing job in stopping a couple of 1v1 breakaways. Juniors Justin Lividini, Matt Sucio, Dominic Lividini, and Ethan Toby put in a lot of work to keep the pace at a fast high level. Sophomores Zack Biller and Ashton Diroff were solid in their varsity debut in the back line as well as freshman Easton Schrock, who helped control the middle of the field and nearly scored in his varsity debut. Gonzalo Aragon 2 goals 1 assist Maverik Bazzy 1 goal 1 assist Marcos Reyna 1 goal Nathan Seisdedos-Henninger 1 goal Matthew Hussey 1 assist Parker Krause 1 assist
