NCA's Varsity Boys suffered their 1st two district losses this week to Harvest Keller, and clinched the #2 seed in TAPPS D5 District 2 for the playoffs! After falling at home on Monday 13-6, the guys fell behind 8-2 on Thursday, but staged a near miraculous comeback in the top of the 7th, scoring 5 runs before falling 8-7 in the end. The Lions struggled both games committing 10 errors over the 2 matches, but never gave up and fell just short of clinching the district championship on Thursday. Nonetheless, our guys returned home Friday for a non-district matchup against TAPPS 3A Heritage Rockwall, and rocked them 24-1 in 5 innings. The Lions bats were scorching hot, compiling 14 hits to Rockwall's 3. The Lions now prepare for 2 more non-district games this coming week against Newman Cedar Hill (Tuesday) and Westlake Academy (Thursday--SENIOR NIGHT).
