Nazarene Christian Academy gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged the Trinity Christian Eagles out 3-1. That's more bragging rights for the Lions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head. Gracyn Whitsell spent all seven innings in the circle, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits and racked up 20 Ks, a new school single game record. At the plate, Brooke Clayton was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.
