The Mustangs hosted the annual Ed Woodrick Invite this past Saturday, welcoming 12 schools for a full day of track and field competition. With perfect weather and a packed field of talent, the Mustangs rose to the occasion. Kwaku Awuah and Savannah Nuetzel each brought home 1st place finishes in the 400 meters. Elora Bliss dominated the distance field, taking 1st place in the girls 3200m. Both the boys and girls 4x400 relay teams also came out on top — Ryan Bouktache, Irie Prieboy, Kwaku Awuah, and Seamus Riley took 1st for the boys, while Igbo Odeluga, Eleanor Wendlinger, Nina Garner, and Savannah Nuetzel locked in the win for the girls. In the high jump, Oladuso Abioye and Nina Garner soared to 1st place finishes, adding even more gold to a strong Mustang performance. It was an all-around dominant day for Mustang Track & Field! 🐴🔥 Next up: The Mustangs are back on the track tomorrow at Highland High School, competing in a tri-meet against Highland and Hanover Central.
