The Munster Mustangs saw their 2024-25 season come to an end Friday night in the IHSAA Sectional Semifinals, falling to Lake Central 54-32. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Mustangs struggled to find their rhythm offensively and couldn’t overcome a strong defensive effort from the Indians. Munster kept the game within reach in the first half but trailed 28-17 at halftime. The Mustangs’ offense hit a cold stretch in the second half, scoring just 15 total points, while Lake Central controlled the boards, outrebounding Munster 39-22. Victor Guaramato led the Mustangs with 16 points, shooting 7-of-16 from the field. Blake Trilli added 7 points, while Troy Jarret contributed 4 points and 3 assists. Munster struggled from beyond the arc, making just 3-of-15 three-pointers (20%), and shot 31% from the field overall. While the loss brings an end to the season, the Mustangs finish the year with a 16-8 record, including an undefeated NCC Conference Championship. Munster showed resilience throughout the year and will look to build on this success next season.
