The Munster Mustangs put together a strong all-around performance Tuesday night, defeating Calumet 66-48 in a convincing road win. Munster controlled the game from the start, leading 15-12 after the first quarter and extending their advantage to 32-24 at halftime. Their balanced attack and defensive intensity proved too much for the Warriors, as the Mustangs never trailed in the game. Sophomore Troy Jarret led the way with 18 points and 8 rebounds, shooting an efficient 8-for-11 from the field. Joshua Malloy added 15 points, while Jacob Goddard provided a boost off the bench, going a perfect 6-for-6 from the field for 13 points. Munster dominated inside, scoring 42 points in the paint and winning the rebounding battle 33-30. Their defensive pressure also forced 21 turnovers, leading to 30 points off turnovers. With the win, Munster improves to 11-6 overall and 3-0 in NCC play, continuing their push for a conference title. The Mustangs will look to keep their momentum going when they take on Gary West Side at home on Friday, February 14, at 7 PM.
