The Munster Mustangs Cross Country teams competed at the Lafayette Harrison Invitational this past Saturday. The girls varsity team finished 2nd overall, behind only top-ranked Lake Central. Lekha Patel (7th, 18:42.06) and Beatrissa Pitcher (8th, 19:16.03) both set personal records. Aubrey Earnshaw also posted a PR, finishing 20th in 20:30.08, while Sophia Puliaeva ran a season-best 20:39.04 to help lead the Mustangs. The boys varsity team finished 11th with 241 points. Keegan McGee led Munster with a 24th-place finish in 17:13.40, followed by Robert Covarrubia in 26th at 17:19.57. In the JV races, Elsa Mayer led the girls with a 10th-place finish (23:22.95), while Nathaniel Sinclair led the boys, placing 55th in 19:54.71.
