Girls Cross Country Class 2A Regional Champions The MSHS Girls Cross Country Team won a 2A Regional Championship today. Mahomet-Seymour finished the 10-team race with 64 points followed by Centennial with 81 points. Earning All-Regional honors were Emily Anand in 3rd and Cecily Smith in 5th place. Taylor Mills, who has been struggling with an injury for the majority of the season, did not run all out today. Instead she was tasked with pacing our number 4 runner. Taylor showed incredible leadership throughout the race. Taylor placed 14th for our team and helped guide Kennedy Ashby (21st) to her best race of the season. Chloe Bundren, our 5th runner finished in 24th with one of her best performances of the year. Rounding out our varsity line-up and helping add points to our competitors' totals were Finley Smith and Morgan Waisath. Our team will travel to Olney next weekend for sectionals with a trip to state on the line.
