Varsity vs Rochester High School (3 - 2) Loss 1st Half MS 0 (home) Rochester 2 Final 2-3 MS fell to 10-3 on the season with a tough home loss against Rochester. A few small things are keeping the Bulldogs from greater successes. A lot of good things like ball winning, and possession around the midfield unit happening tonight. However, the Bulldogs continued an unfortunate trend of falling behind and having to battle back. That paired with struggling to defend set pieces was the difference in the game. Two of the three Rocket goals were off set pieces, with the third coming out of a throw in. Overall, both teams looked to absorb the opposition's attack and counterattack with pace. In the second half, the Bulldogs were able to close the gap through switching the ball in the final third. The girls closed it to 1-2 from a Bulldog throw-in that drifted and found the foot of Ella Walk who found the back of the net. The second goal from Lily Carlson running forward and hitting a rope from long range to tie the game with 20 to go. Unfortunately, Rochester went on to get a free kick centrally, and they hit a great ball to give them the lead and the win.
