Mahomet Seymour High School

MS moved to 10-2 with a road win at the U of I soccer field Saturday night in the marquis game of the area showcase over Champaign Centennial. The venue was great, with this being the first time that the Bulldogs got an invite to play with all of the other area teams. The girls created a ton of dangerous opportunities in the box in the first half, but simply couldn't find the back of the net. Centennial fed off of some of that energy, but weren't able to create much out of it other than a few crosses that were easily repelled. In the second half, the girls settled in, scoring early in the half, and then the goals started to domino. With 15 to go in the half, the Bulldogs were up by 4 and the cherry on the top was getting all of the seniors time to play together on the U of I fields together. The Bulldogs host a dangerous Rochester team tonight at home, 5pm varsity start. Shutout for Jacobs-3 saves on the night.
