Varsity vs University High School (1 - 2) Loss 1-1 at half 1 goal by Paislee Welge MS dropped their opener in a tough matchup of defending regional champs at home. U-high jumped out front with a great ranged shot that careened off the post into the back of the net. Mahomet bounced back with a free kick from two time all-stater Paislee Welge to draw even at half. U-high scored the go ahead midway through the second half and the Bulldogs weren't able to claw their way back. Overall, pretty happy with the girls effort, looking forward to some film and ironing positional issues out. The girls will look to get back on track Monday with an away game at Rantoul.
