The Jr High football team rapped up their season last night with a 14 to 7 victory over Union County. The Bears used ball control and a strong defense to secure the victory. Union County struck 1st on a long pass play to take a 7 – 0 lead on the first possession. Later the Bears scored off of a long drive but failed on the 2 point conversion to bring the score to 7 – 6. That score remained until 1:20 in the 4th quarter when the Bears cashed in on a 90 yard scoring play that took up the majority of the 4th quarter. On the ensuing kickoff the Bears were able to recover the ball after it bounced off of a Union County player and held on for the victory. The team ended a successful season with a 5 and 2 record. Congratulations to each and every team member!!!!
