The Junior Varsity and Varsity Golden Bear volleyball teams traveled to Alexandria last night. The Varsity match was also a back and forth battle. The Tigers from Alexandria were able to hold the momentum a bit longer though and ended up with 2-3 victory of the Golden Bears with scores of 23-25, 25-23, 21-25, 25-22 and 5-15. Freshman Mckenna Murphy had a great night last night bringing 7 kills, 2 aces and 1 dig along with an outstanding mental performance. Senior Shyan Bennett had 11 kills, 10 digs and 10 receptions while Senior Addi Grove had 4 kills, 2 aces and 4 digs. The Golden Bear Volleyball program will continue their busy week as the travel to Muncie Central this evening to take on the Bearcats. These matches will be played at the fieldhouse. JV is slated to being at 6pm.
