The JH Bears football team traveled to Shenandoah last night and improved their record to 3 – 1 with a hard-fought 12 – 8 victory. Shenandoah struck first with a long drive capped off by a reception of a tipped pass to take an 8 to 0 lead in the first quarter. The Bears scored in the 2nd quarter to go into halftime down 8 to 6. The teams battled back and forth with both defenses playing well until the Bears scored with just under 2 minutes left in the game. The Bears defense held out the last 1:50 forcing a long 4th down pass attempt that was overthrown and intercepted with 46 seconds left in the game. Great effort on both sides of the ball for the Bears. The Bears will host the Blackford Bruins next Thursday. Reminder to all players, there is no practice tonight. Great win!!!!
