The JV and Varsity Golden Bear volleyball teams traveled to Cowan tonight for a conference matchup with the Blackhawks. The Varsity match was a close one from start to finish. The Blackhawks were able to secure the 2-3 victory by being the team to have fewer errors. Scores for each set were 23-25, 25-23, 19-25, 25-19 and 11-15. Senior Hadley Hendrickson had an outstanding match tonight bringing 23 kills, 15 receptions with only 1 error, 3 blocks and 7 digs. Sophomore Bentley Pegg had 1 ace, 1 kill, 9 digs and 49 assists and Freshman Maylynn Morrison had 2 aces, 7 kills and 15 digs. The Golden Bears will be back at home next Tuesday (9/9) when they faceoff with the Falcons from Winchester.
