Monroe Central Junior High Triumph Over New Castle By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Junior High were triumphant over New Castle 5-2 on Wednesday at New Castle High School. Monroe Central Junior High got on the board in the top of the first inning after Alex Middleton doubled down the left field line, and Parker Morris singled to center field, each scoring one run. New Castle tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a walk by Carson Marcum, and a wild pitch. Monroe Central Junior High jumped back into the lead in the top of the third inning after Collin Baker walked, Abe Cunningham singled down the right field line, and Monroe Central Junior High scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run. Middleton led things off on the mound for Monroe Central Junior High. The starting pitcher allowed one hit and two runs (zero earned) over two innings, striking out six and walking four. Kobe Lee started the game for New Castle. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and five runs over two innings, striking out four and walking four. Middleton led Monroe Central Junior High with two hits in two at bats. Monroe Central Junior High were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Morris had the most chances in the field with five. Carter Silvers led New Castle with one hit in one at bat. New Castle didn't commit a single error in the field.
