GameChanger Recap: Monroe Central Varsity Bears Trounce Wes-Del By GameChanger Media Monroe Central Varsity Bears easily dispatched Wes-Del on Thursday, 17-1. Monroe Central Varsity Bears got on the board in the top of the first inning after Wes-Del committed an error, Logan Walker doubled down the left field line, and Myles Oliphant singled to right field, each scoring one run. Wes-Del scored one run in the bottom of the first on a solo home run to right field by Grayson Mealy. Monroe Central Varsity Bears added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Caleb Luedike singled down the right field line, and Peyton Farmer scored after tagging up, each scoring one run. Monroe Central Varsity Bears extended their early lead with three runs in the top of the third thanks to RBI singles by Luedike and Lane Wilson. Three more Monroe Central Varsity Bears runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 11-1. Levi Pence hit a solo home run to right field, Carter Duncan drew a walk, scoring one run, and Drake Fowler induced Luedike to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored. Monroe Central Varsity Bears scored six runs on zero hits in the top of the fifth inning.
