Varsity: The bears lost a hard fought battle Saturday night 37-31. The bears got down early 14-9 at the end of the first quarter. The clawed there way back to only being down 2 at the half. Early in the 3rd quarter Alexandria went on 13 to 0 run to extend their lead to 31 to 16. The bears ended the quarter on a 7-0 run to cut the lead to 8 starting the 4 quarter. In the 4th quarter the bears couldn't get any closer than 4 points. The bears just couldn't get the timely shot to fall. The bears were led in scoring by Cole Munchel with 15 points and 13 rebounds. Easton Foster and Hayden Taylor had 6 points each. JV: The jv bears beat Alexandria 56-53 Saturday night. The bears trailed after one quarter 14-11. At the half the bears had the lead 23-22. In the 3rd quarter the lead switched sides 4 times but at the end of the quarter the bears had the lead by 5. In the 4th quarter the bears were down 5 in the middle but timely defense and clutch free throws sealed the game for the bears. The bears have won 2 in a row now. The bears were led in scoring by Justus Ullom with 19 points he was 7 of 8 at the foul line. Carter Wheatley added 17 points. Justus Ullom also added 7 rebounds for the bears.
