The boys varsity basketball team jumped out to a 20-7 lead at the end of the 1st quarter and never looked back winning 71-50 vs Union City in the county tourney Thursday night. The bears shared the ball well with 16 assists on 30 made baskets. The bears we led in scoring by Alden Mahaffey with 22. Right behind him was Cole Munchel with 17 and Easton Foster with 11 points. Mahaffey also added 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Munchel added 8 rebounds and 5 were offensive. The bears next game is Saturday in the Randolph County Championship against rival Winchester beginning at 8:00PM at Union City High School.
