7th Grade: The Monroe Central 7th grade boys basketball team suffered a defeat last night to Hagerstown, 39-32. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 23 and Peyton Chamness with 6. The Bears return to action Thursday night at MEC Conference opponent Blue River. 8th Grade: Last night the 8th grade boys lost a tight battle to Hagerstown 33 to 32. The game was close throughout with the Bears taking a 4 point lead into halftime. Caden Dance led the Bears with 13 points followed by Pierceton Erwin with 9 and Conner Baker with 8. The Bears travel to Blue River tonight.
