Our JV/V volleyball teams were up against the Falcons of Winchester tonight. Our Varsity Squad came out with the right frame of mind. We had worked hard in our serve receive in practice and some of those improvements were definitely seen on the floor tonight. We can't take anything from the Falcons though. They are a much improved volleyball squad. They came out with the win tonight with scores of 16-25, 10-25, and 11-25. Standing out tonight was Junior Shyan Bennett. Shyan continues to show her true heart and soul while on the floor. Even despite tough moments, she works to push through these. Tonight she had 7 Kills, 22 receptions, and 5 digs. Her constant desire to want to improve is a goal everyone should want to achieve. Your efforts do not go unnoticed. Our Golden Bears are back in action tomorrow (9/11/24) here in the Bear Den against the Tigers of Alexandria. JV will start at 6pm. Come out and watch the improvements these girls are making. We are a team on the move with constant desires to increase our competitive level of play.
