The Varsity Lady Golden Bears came out very strong to begin tonight's match. They defeated Cowan in set one with a score of 25-15. The Blackhawks came back in the following sets determined to compete and were able to win sets two, three, and four with scores of 18-25, 23-25, and 18-25. Our Golden Bears were adjusting to a new rotation tonight and there were some definite improvements seen on the floor. Junior Shyan Bennett came out with a positive attitude tonight knowing our rotations had changed and she was adjusting to changes in her position. She worked on some plays with our setter prior to the match and it was very effective right away in Set # 1. Her contributions tonight included 4 Aces, 11 Kills, and 4 Digs. The team will be back in action next Tuesday (9/10) at Winchester. JV starts at 6:00pm.
