The Varsity Lady Golden Bears also came out with the right frame of mind in tonight's match. While we still came up shy of getting the win, some great strides of improvement were witnessed on the court and this team is continually showing signs of positive growth. Our Golden Bears lost in 3 with scores of 22-25, 14-25, and 20-25. Freshman Bentley Pegg had a very strong showing in tonight's match. Her defensive skills were on point with 7 strong service receptions and no reception errors, 3 digs, and a solo block. She also added 5 offensive kills to the team totals. For being a freshman starter, Bentley is continuing to show how she earned her spot on this squad. Our Lady Golden Bears will be back in action tomorrow night (8/28/24) as they battle with the Rockets of Union. This match will be played on the road at Union with JV starting at 6pm.
