The Junior Varsity Golden Bear volleyball team came out strong tonight playing well together and won the first set against Southern Wells with ease with a score of 25-8. The Raiders fought back in set #2 and were able to bounce back with a score of 14-25. Our lady Golden Bears were not done though and they kept fighting and ended up with the win by taking the third set 17-15. Sophomores Taylor Oren, Maria Oliphant, and Zoie Hood had some nice serving, defensive, and offensive plays on the court tonight. Overall, the whole team came together and showed so much improvement in their skills of working together. Our Lady Golden Bears will be back in action tomorrow night (8/28/24) as they battle with the Rockets of Union. This match will be played on the road at Union with JV starting at 6pm.
