The girls' and boys' cross-country team competed in their season opener on Saturday at the Meister Invitational, at home. The girls left invite champions with Avery Thomas leading the way placing 2nd and Andi Watson and Abby Thomas placing 3rd and 5th. Addy Puckett, Ailey Moon, Alivia Arvin, and Ava Phelps also ran well for the girls. The boys' team placed 3rd with Lane Dance leading the way placing 5th and Jedidiah Ferguson right behind placing 6th. Alexander Coe placed 19th and Jackson Wines placed 33rd. Cory Brown, Stephen Stockwell, Wyatt Daniels, and Noah Moery also ran well. The teams will be back in action on Wednesday at Pendleton Heights for the Arabian Roundup.
