Tonight the Lady Golden Bears JV team had their first match of the season at home against the Indians of Union City. Due to limited player availability the JV match was only a 2 set match. The Golden Bears started out strong in set 1 with a 25-14 victory. The Indians rebounded in set 2 and got out to a nice lead of 11-16. The Golden Bears didn't give up though and fought back. Sadly, they came up just short in the second set 23-25. Unfortunately, a 3rd set was unable to be played this evening but a great effort was made by both teams. The Golden Bears will be back in action on Thursday (8/22) against top state ranked Muncie Burris at home.
