The Bears lost to a solid Union City team 19-2 Friday. The game served as a great learning opportunity for the young team and helped pinpoint areas of improvement. 10 of 11 players had quality at bats. Aubrey Johnson went 2-3 with 1 run scored. Makaylah Brainerd, Jayme Brannan, and Zoie Hood each added a hit. Brannan had 2 RBIs and the only extra base hit for the Bears. Brainerd had 2 exceptional plays in centerfield and was able to get a double play. The Bears are back in action for conference play on Tuesday at home against Eastern Hancock.
