Monroe Central

In the first game of the county tournament, the Monroe Central 8th grade basketball team defeated Union City 46-24. After a slow start, the Bears surged in the 2nd Quarter to take a big lead into halftime, never looking back. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 24, followed by Weston Grove with 12 and Myles Oliphant with 10. In the county championship, the Bears were victorious after defeating rival Driver by a score of 37-26. Great team effort from start to finish guided the way for the Bears to pull off the 3-peat. The Bears were led in scoring by Luke Morgan with 25 and Weston Grove with 6. The Bears finish the season with an overall record of 13-9. Great season and even better finish! Go Bears!
