The Bears dug themselves an early hole but battled back to have a shot before falling at home 42-36 to Elwood. Monroe Central was led in scoring by Caden Dance’s 14 points, followed by Maddox Taylor’s 7 points. Connor Baler and Pierceton Erwin chipped in 6 points each. Corbin Lester added 2 points and Chandler Breedlove rounded out the scoring with 1 point. Corbin Lester and Wade Dawson were cited with solid defensive efforts. The Bears conclude their season Monday on the road against Northeastern.
