Monroe Central fell to Union City 27-22. Shots weren’t falling, but the team’s defense and rebounding gave them an opportunity to win. Maddox Taylor led a balanced scoring effort with 6 points. Isaac Middleton and Pierceton Erwin chipped in 4 points each. Caden Dance, Corbin Lester. Chandler Breedlove, and Conner Baker all added two points. Lester and Dance were cited for an outstanding defensive effort with Lester jumping passing lanes multiple times for steals. Dance, Middleton, Erwin, and Breedlove were all credited with a great rebounding effort in the loss.
