Junior Varsity Boys Basketball defeats Union City in the JV Randolph County Tournament Semi-Finals

The bears advance to the county tourney final with a 69-54 win against Union City last night. The bears jumped out to a 18-7 lead after the first quarter. At halftime the bears were up 31-23. In the 3rd quarter Union City cut the lead to 3 with just under 2 minutes to go but Jackson Konkle scored 6 straight points. The lead was 11 by the end of the quarter. Union City never got got any closer than 11. The Bears were led in scoring by Jackson Konkle’s 31 points. Joining Konkle in double figures were Griffin Gannom with 14 points and Kyler Bogue with 11 points. Cohen West added 5 points, Josh Swearingen with 4 points, Carter Wheatley 3 points, and Braylon Anderson rounded out the scoring with 1 point. Swearingen led a good rebounding effort with 11 rebounds. The Bears play Winchester for the championship tomorrow at 7:30 PM at Randolph Southern.
