The Golden Bear volleyball team traveled to Randolph Southern tonight for a conference matchup with the Rebels of Randolph Southern. The Varsity Golden Bears got off to a bit of a slower start but did end up finishing strong and winning the match 3-1 with scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-20, and 25-9. Some stats to mention were from Freshman Izzy McGrath with 9 Kills and 2 Blocks. Senior Libero Raegan Quattlebaum had 1 Ace, 18 Receptions, and 13 Digs. Sophomore Maylynn Morrison had 5 Aces, 19 Kills, 9 Receptions, and 7 Digs. And Junior Bentley Pegg had 7 Aces, 5 Kills, 32 Assists, and 12 Digs. As a special note, Junior Bentley Pegg crossed a huge milestone in her career tonight and that will be celebrated at Tuesday nights (9/1/26) home match. Please be in attendance and ready for this special announcement. The JV and Varsity Golden Bears will be back in action on Tuesday (9/1/26) in the Bear Den when they face off against the Tigers from Hagerstown. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 6:00p.m.
